EverWeb has just been updated to version 2.9 The new release expands the product’s Responsive capabilities as you can now set your own device breakpoints in the Metrics Inspector as well as using the new Show on Device options so that objects only display on the devices that you want them to. There are new menu options in the Window menu so you can view or hide hidden obects and breakpoints from the Editor Window. And speaking of the Editor Window, EverWeb now includes Rulers across the top and down the right hand side of the Editor Window. Rulers are optional, so again use the Window menu to turn them off if they are not needed.
There are also some minor updates to the FlexBox, Text Section and PayPal widgets. Now all three widgets give you the ability to use bullet point and numbered lists in the Styled Text Editor. You also now have the ability to hyperlink to files and to open links in new windows.
If you are using full width objects you can now specify a maximum width. This is useful when browsing on wide desktops and having objects too widely spaced out. The Responsive Row widget also gains a similar feature in its Widget Settings.
The other featue of note in this release is that there is a change of version support. EverWeb 2.9 for 64 bit computers now supports OS X and Higher, whilst EverWeb for 32bit computers now supports OS X versions 10.7-10.9. If you have a OS X version 10.6, EverWeb version 2.5.2 is available, but will not be updated on this particular OS any more.
As always there are the usual bug fixes and optimizations to make EverWeb run smoothly.
The update is available immediately, When you log in to EverWeb, the update mechanism should kick in offering you the update if you have an active maiintenance and support plan.
If you would like to try the latest update you can also download it from the EverWeb website directly from the downloads page.
